What Rob did NOT know was how challenging movement, macros and mindset would be after bariatric surgery. Rob committed to learning from not only the BEST professionals in the community, but also interviewed some of the highest performing bariatric patients over the last three years.
Rob brings his expertise, wisdom and guidance as well as his dual certification as a fitness and nutrition coach from both the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the Next Level Coaching Academy (NLCA) to his online business, Busy Bariatrics.
After seeing the evolving landscape in the online fitness and nutrition space, he committed to helping provide members of the bariatric community with a safe, structured place to learn the basic foundations and nutrition required after Bariatric Surgery.
Rob is also a husband, father, teacher and bariatric patient who understands where his clients are starting from and who could have never imagined writing a bio for his own fitness company when he started this journey in 2020 at 365 pounds!
Assistant Coach
Kylie Hansen is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine with credentials in corrective exercise, nutrition, and habit change. She had bariatric surgery 11 years ago and has a personal understanding of what is needed to experience long-term bariatric success while living a busy lifestyle.
Kylie has first hand experience and knowledge about what physical and mental aspects are required in order to be a successful bariatric patient. She believes that our mind is our most powerful tool and will make sure that her clients also prioritize both mental and physical health while working with her.
Kylie whole-heartedly believes that action creates more action and habits are what will guide you to your end goal. Starting small and working your way toward your big goals will be crucial in your journey. Small actions create big results and going extreme too quickly will cause burnout and frustration. Kylie has been the “overweight, big girl”. She knows what it’s like to be treated differently simply because of the size of her body. She knows how frustrating it can be to be judged for being overweight and how she didn’t “belong” in the gym. Now that she’s conquered those struggles and fears, she has a passion for helping other bariatric patients navigate their way to their own success journey.
As we preach inside Busy Bariatrics, we don’t sit in our issues - and Kylie is ready to help you work through those issues and build the necessary characteristics to experience success.

Stacy had bariatric surgery in August of 2022 and started with Busy Bariatrics as client number six in March of 2023. During her time being coached by Rob, she has reached and surpassed her initial goal weight with a weight loss of nearly 30 pounds. She has also turned her 15lb dumbbell home workout into a love of lifting heavy and full-fledged ‘gym rat’ status.
All her personal successes cemented her passion and belief in Busy Bariatrics and Rob’s method’s and message, so when she noticed that he needed a little help in the content editing department, she jumped in to volunteer her services. This led to her current position as Busy Bariatrics’ Admin, where she serves as assistant to Rob, curator of content, communications and all things backend related.
Stacy is a lifelong New Englander (and much to the boss’ chagrin, a die-hard Pats fan), having been born, raised, and currently residing in Massachusetts with her husband, cat and 3-legged rescue dog. She also has two grown children. She has a Bachelors in Communications with a New Media concentrate from Southern New Hampshire University, is an IAPRC Certified Life Coach, and is currently enrolled in NASM’s CPT/CNC program. She has truly found her calling in helping her fellow bariatric patients live their best and fullest lives!

Participants will receive personalized nutrition coaching aimed at optimizing their dietary choices post-bariatric surgery. This may include meal planning, portion control guidance, and nutritional education. The program will provide participants with structured fitness programs tailored to their individual needs and fitness levels. These programs may include strength training, cardiovascular exercises, and flexibility routines.
In addition to physical health, participants will receive mindset coaching to address psychological and emotional aspects related to their bariatric journey. This may involve strategies for overcoming barriers, building self-confidence, and fostering a positive mindset.
Please note that enrollment in the Busy Bariatrics Coaching Program is non-refundable. Once payment has been made, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. All information shared during coaching sessions, including personal health data, will be kept confidential by the program team.
